Experience Alpine Luxury at Gstaad’s Stylish New Mansard Hotel

The Mansard, the newest addition to Gstaad, offers contemporary Swiss hospitality in the heart of the Bernese Alps. Part of the Miiro group—a collection of thoughtful four-star hotels in Europe’s prime destinations—the hotel features 29 rooms, each with a protected balcony and views of snow-capped mountains. Designed by Swiss architects and built with local materials, the interiors include larch wood cladding, parquet flooring, and artwork by Gstaad photographer Jacques Naegeli.

The hotel emphasizes comfort and functionality, from Le Labo bath products to a lobby designed like a cozy living room. Long-haul guests benefit from a dedicated refresh room, and the rooftop restaurant provides panoramic views for diners. Chef Tom Walter, trained under Michelin-starred Tanja Grandits, collaborates with local farmers to highlight regional ingredients, with creative twists on classic dishes.

Gstaad itself remains a charming Alpine village with low-slung wooden buildings, flowerboxes, and a mix of tradition and luxury. Visitors can experience local culture through guided hikes, artisanal cheese-making, and unique fondue picnic spots across the region.
