La Beauté Louis Vuitton Brings Iconic Logomania to Makeup
Louis Vuitton is making its official debut in the luxury beauty world with La Beauté Louis Vuitton, a stunning collection of lipsticks, lip balms, and eye shadows. The line, launching on August 29, 2025, in select stores and online, draws inspiration from the French fashion house’s early vanity trunks of the 1920s, which featured special compartments for perfumes and makeup.
Legendary makeup artist Pat McGrath, longtime collaborator with Louis Vuitton, serves as the collection’s creative director. McGrath developed 55 lipstick shades, 10 lip balms, and 8 eye shadow palettes, all packaged in the signature LV monogram and designed to fit neatly into the exclusive vanity trunk.
The LV Rouge lipsticks are available in 27 creamy satin shades and 28 velvet matte shades, while the LV Baume lip balms provide a sheer, luminous finish. Both lines are enriched with skin-loving ingredients like hyaluronic acid and shea butter for longwear and hydration.
The LV Ombres eye shadow palettes reflect McGrath’s signature bold, avant-garde style. Available in eight colorways, they offer finishes ranging from glitter and metallic to satin, matte, and pearl, with squalane and camelina flower oil extract to enhance wear and comfort.
In an interview with Vogue, McGrath shared her excitement about the launch:
“People have been asking me for years, ‘When is makeup coming for Louis Vuitton?’ Now I can finally say it’s happening. We have a shared vision of beauty, and La Beauté Louis Vuitton is a perfect extension of the journey we’ve been on together.”
